Ann Nelson-Whitfield
Director / Nominated Individual
Wishes Care & Support was set up by Ann Nelson, who has 30 years of experience in providing health and social care services. Ann has provided care to thousands of elderly people and has also provided end of life care. She then decided to follow her dream and make it a reality. She has never looked back and the company has gone from strength to strength.
She has hands-on experience, drive and determination in providing a high standard of care and support, not only to the service users but also to the team of staff employed. This gives her the reassurance of knowing Wishes Care & Support is a company with an excellent reputation. Wishes Care & Support has been a finalist for the National British Care Awards over the past few years.
Denise McNeil
Registered Manager
Denise has provided care in the Hull, East Riding and North Yorkshire area for 3 decades. Her knowledge and experience are vast and her job role is to ensure Wishes Care & Support is achieving the standard that is expected by the local authorities and CQC. Denise is also hands-on and oversees the running of the company and ensures the service users, office staff and care staff are supported to a high standard.
Debbie Nicholls
Deputy Manager
Debbie has 30 years' experience working in care. With her knowledge and experience she manages and supports the Registered Manager, Care Managers and the office team, ensuring the office runs smoothly and professionally. She oversees all policies and procedures and ensures all guidelines are adhered to.
Dianne Smyth
Trainee Manager
Dianne is at present our Trainee Manager hopefully to go to Registered Manager at our North Yorkshire branch. She has a managerial background, many years of care experience and is presently completing her level 5 in health and social care.
Tracy Killingsworth
Training Officer
Tracy is the person responsible for training new and existing staff to a high standard. Her background is in care and she believes her experience and knowledge is important to ensure staff provide a caring and professional service. Tracy says, "staff are our reputation, therefore, the training is everything." Tracy was a regional finalist for the National British Care Awards in 2019. Tracy has 30 years' experience in health and social care.
Victoria Ross
Recruitment Officer and Human Resources
Victoria has provided care in Hull, East Riding and North Yorkshire for many years and understand employing the right staff to provide a professional and quality service is paramount.
Helen Mundine
Financial Officer
Helen is responsible for the invoicing and the financial side of the business. Her background is finance and office-based employment.
Emergency Response Team
(Out of hours)
Our Emergency Response Team consists of staff that have experience and knowledge that is extensive to health and social care. This team supports and manages staff during calls out of hours. These individuals are also there to support our clients, families and other professionals if needed.
Back-up
Our phone line goes to a back-up line during the night in case of any emergencies. All our office team are fully trained and can carry out care in the community.
